R. George Adams, RIP
Reginald George Adams, 67, of 1471 Firwood Court, Marco Island, Naples, Fla., died Saturday in his home (June 7, 1972).
He was born November 11, 1904 in the United Kingdom and passed away June 3, 1972 in his favorite chair by the pool. He was one of four siblings. His older brother Wally Adams died as a coal miner in Pennsylvania. Reginald was second. Albert Adams was a wing walker. Youngest sibling Olive Adams died in a motorcycle accident when George was 18.
He was a former international director of the SPEBSQSA organization and an executive for a fire insurance company. Memorial services were held yesterday afternoon in the United Church of Marco Island, with the Rev. Wesley U. Riedel officiating. Surviving are his widow, Marion; son, Robert of South Miami, Fla.; a daughter, Phyllis Adams of Forest Park, 111.; two grandchildren, and a brother, Albert of England. Hodges Funeral Chapel, Naples, Fla. was in charge of the arrangements.
George was interred at Mount Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst, Illinois .
